Two new hotel investments are underway in Mykonos
In 2021, a wave of tourist investments in new hotels is taking place on the island of Mykonos: two more hotel projects are moving forward in terms of licensing and financing.
The first investment concerns the creation of a new 4-star hotel in Kardamida, within the settlement of Ano Mera in Mykonos. The investment company is Royalblue Real Estate Investments IKE. In a recent decision, the Ministry of Culture approved the study for the construction of the hotel, in terms of archaeological legislation, as there will be no buildings within the area of the archaeological finds, which set specific conditions for the execution of the works.
The second investment concerns constructing a 3-star hotel at Pyrgos in Ano Mera of Mykonos and is already underway. The hotel will have a capacity of 16 rooms and 44 beds. In fact, the implementation of 50% of the physical and financial object of the investment, which had been included in the Development Law, was recently certified by the competent service of the Ministry of Development. The total investment is 841,000 euros, and the investing company is Whiteblue Real Estate Investments IKE.
Both investments are being made by the German businessmen Thomas Heyne and Mario Hertel, who already have some popular tourist facilities on the island, such as Paradise Club, the San Giorgio Hotel, and Scorpios.
